How long do Plant Patents last?
Plant patents last 20 years from the date the plant patent was filed. You cannot renew patents.
What kinds of plants are Patentable?
Only plants that are reproduced through asexual means can be patented. Ways to reproduce plants asexually include grafting, apomixis, and cuttings.
